Zusammenfassung:This report develops a mathematical formulation which describes the evolution of non-linear wave groups in water of slowly varying depths. It summarizes the derivations of the appropriate equations and their solutions. An approximate analytical solution is provided giving the physical processes involved in the shoaling of wave groups.
