Zusammenfassung: | Repeated applications of the high dose concentration (450 mg/kg) of technical grade carboxamide produced moderate to severe erythema on the skin of rabbits. Application of the expected human dermal dosage concentration (9 mg/kg) in a 25 percent (w/v) ethanol solution for 21 days produced mild to moderate skin irritation in rabbits. Toxicity studies performed for this Agency indicate that AI336326 was found relatively innocuous to Bobwhite quail and Mallard ducks during an eight day dietary LC50 study up to concentrations greater than 5000 ppm. This insect repellent was found to be slightly toxic during 96 hour LC50 studies performed on Bluegill sunfish (28 mg/L) and Rainbow trout (42 mg/L). Caution should be exercised when handling large quantities of technical grade material. |
