Zusammenfassung:This report describes the development of supplementary design information to help Army Service School managers support changes in school training programs. It describes a detailed process for collecting facility management and reference data for 21 types of school spaces. The facility management process is divided into three phases: Identifying quantitative and qualitative problems by comparing what is needed to what exists. Organizing problems into improvement projects; and Initiating improvement projects and monitoring their progress as they are executed by others. This process can help the school administration detect deficiencies early and tell installation and Army organizations responsible for school improvement projects precisely what improvements are needed. Reference data are for school facilities (in general), training spaces, training support spaces, offices, and shared spaces. These data include typical requirements as well as design criteria and guidance. They can be used to help identify deficiencies within existing spaces and facilities and to define what improvements should be made. (Author)
