Zusammenfassung: | The United States Army Aviation Engineering Flight Activity conducted level flight performance tests of the UH-1H helicopter to provide data to determine the most fuel efficient operating characteristics. Hot and cold weather test sites were used to extend the advancing tip Mach number data range to supplement existing YUH-1H performance data. Based on preliminary analysis, range can be increased significantly at optimum altitude and rotor speed compared to sea level and normal rotor speed (324 RPM). Rotor compressibility effects were significant at all test conditions. |
