Zusammenfassung: | The Ada language was designed for military embedded computer applications, and therefore its multitasking facilities will be heavily utilized in DoD software. However, Ada's multitasking facilities do not provide capabilities equivalent to current multitasking facilities in existing languages. Ada's unconventional multitasking facilities raise serious questions. Problem areas are identified and discussed, and solutions are proposed. Because Ada's multitasking facilities are only a small part of the total language, changes and improvements can be made without impacting the remainder of the language. (Author) |
