Zusammenfassung: | This report describes the results of baseline studies on the effects of chemical, metallurgical, and mechanical factors on the SCC properties of high-strength steels and weldments. The primary materials were quench-and-tempered steels or weld metals in the HY-100 and HY-130 systems with complex martensitic microstructures. The cantilever beam method was used to measure K sub Iscc of the materials in 3.5% sodium chloride (NaCl) solution under zinc-coupled conditions. This parameter was utilized to rank the materials and to evaluate the effects of processing, welding procedure, and tempering on SCC properties. (Author) |
