Zusammenfassung:The present study was designed and carried out in an attempt to establish an extracorporeal perfusion system without anticoagulation and to study how this system affects the animal's response to endotoxin. The results of the study show that an extracorporeal perfusion system without anticoagulation can be established in the dog under certain conditions. It also points to a model to study the effects of endotoxin without heparin interference and as another model for studying the fibrinolytic system. (Author)
