Zusammenfassung:Initial formulation of the analysis of the energy deposition and the electron density profiles in an EXCEDE-type experiment are presented. Altitude profiles are given for the night time zenith spectral radiance for CO2 bands at 4.3 micrometers and 15 micrometers and for the ozone band at 9.6 micrometers. Model calculations of the vibrational population of the first excited level of the CO2 nu sub 3 vibrational mode are also presented.
