Zusammenfassung: | The High Altitude Effects Simulation (HAES) Program sponsored by the Defense Nuclear Agency since the early 1970 time period, comprises several groupings of separate, but interrelated technical activities, e.g., ICECAP (Infrared Chemistry Experiments-Coordinated Auroral Program). Each of the latter have the common objective of providing information ascertained as essential for the development and validation of predictive computer codes designed for use with high priority DoD radar, communications, and optical defensive systems. This report is concerned with a discussion of the philosophy of the payload and its incorporation in the Black Brant Rocket 17.110-3 together with a brief summary of supporting measurements.
