Zusammenfassung:The title problem for a spherical droplet is considered when the activation energy is large, the zone temperature now always being the maximum. Asymptotic solutions are thereby obtained for the remaining inert atmosphere problems, which describe a monotonic decrease of the vaporization rate M with increasing Damkohler number D, i.e., the lower branch of the C-shaped response curve. In particular there is a threshold D beyond which M stays constant.
