Zusammenfassung:	Condensation of 1,5-diaminoanthraquinone and aralkyldiketones has been reported. Work on the polymer with graphitic structure obtained from 1,4,5, 8- tetraaminoanthraquinone and naphthalene- 1,8,4,5-diindandione has been completed. A SERIES OF LINEAR POLYMERS CONTAINING ARYL ETHER, ARYL KETONE AND ARYL SULFONE UNITS WITH NITRILE DANGLING GROUPS HAS BEEN PREPARED. Some success has been achieved in converting the nitriles to triazine. The resulting products are promising as laminating resins. A series of arylene polysulfides with nitrile side groups has been synthesized and show some promise as laminating resins. Work has begun on the preparation of polymeric chains with o- dicyano substituents to test the value of phthalocyanine groups as side chains for crosslinking.
