Zusammenfassung: | Radar pulse bandwidths of 500 MHz and higher are now achievable, giving fine resolution in range. A new method, known as the Modified Transform Method, simplifies the calculation of predicted echo waveforms when a wideband plus is incident on a radar target of known geometrical form. Comparison of an echo pulse with the transmitted pulse determines the transfer function of the scattering point which produced the echo, and by an inverse transformation the projected area function can be determined. The method shows possibilities of application to Space Object Identification. (Author) |
