Zusammenfassung: | The dispersion of stress waves propagating parallel to the laminate interfaces of a laminated composite material was measured as a function of target thickness. The composite target was composed of aluminum and plexiglas layers and was loaded by thin flyer impact in an air gun. The rear surface stress in individual layers was measured with manganin wire pressure transducers for three different target thicknesses. The results show stress wave dispersions appeared to start immediately upon stress wave formation and stress wave dispersion continued through the target thicknesses observed. (Author) |
