Zusammenfassung:The report presents the results of tropical and laboratory exposure of populations of selected electronic components. These exposures have provided electrical performance data for tropical exposures beginning June 1964 (Phase I components) and September 1965 (Phase II components) and four different stress-graduated laboratory exposures of samples of the same components. The laboratory tests were: 20-day, MIL-STD-202C - Method 106B; 20-day, 1% salt fog at +60C; 20-day moisture resistance at +90C and 90% relative humidity; 20-day, 1/2% salt fog at +50C. This report also presents data and results obtained from the tropical field exposure of samples of wire, cable, and connectors at the Panama Canal Zone. The stated objective of this study was to obtain a relative figure of merit or acceleration factor for the selected components which would relate a specific laboratory environmental exposure to the measured results of tropical exposure for the same components or type of component.
