Zusammenfassung: | The configuration of the Advanced Medium Caliber (AMC) 30mm ammunition allows separation and control of many of the variables which affect telescoping dynamics. Investigation of these parameters shows that telescoped ammunition can have a number of degrees of freedom not possible in the design of conventional ammunition. Through the use of these degrees of freedom, the telescoping dynamics can be controlled to produce a round with low ballistic variability. |
