Zusammenfassung:	The use of a Mytron FAB-1 moisture tester for the determination of the volatile matter content of certain propellant ingredients was investigated and compared with other conventional VM determinations. This instrument was found to be suitable for nitrocellulose and for cordite pastes, and could be used for polyvinyl nitrate and sodium stannate. Although inherently less accurate, the Mytron gave better precision than conventional methods. Considerable savings in time were possible. (Author)
