Zusammenfassung:The report pertains to analytical and simulation studies performed under Project 101-200R (Advanced ATC Concept and Technique Investigations) during the period from March 1963, through May 1964. These studies were extensions of previous work oriented to the study of advanced ATC operational concepts which would have application in future, computer-aided terminal traffic control systems. Various techniques for performing computer-aided command and control processes were simulated to derive optimized functional relationships between the controller and the computer for the following ATC system functions: arrival and departure scheduling; terminal flow control; transition control from terminal entry fixes; close-in terminal approach control; local control; and departure radar control.
