Zusammenfassung:The average heat capacity of titanium boride in the range from 20 to 400-800C was measured, at 100C intervals, in a water calorimeter. A linear heat capacity-temperature relation was observed from 400-600C. Departure from the linear relation at 700-800C is attributed to the probable polymorphism of titanium boride. Equations are presented expressing the average and the true molecular heat capacities of titanium boride as a function of temperature in the 0-800C range given. The data obtained were compared with the heat capacity of titanium boride calculated from experimental values on the basis of additivity and from the equation of Maydel.
