Zusammenfassung:The greases of the tsiatim-201 type, free of diphenylamine, thickened with 8 percent lithium stearate, were obtained by isothermal crystallization of the melt flowing from the evaporator or cooling drum. The effect of the crystallization temp. and layer thickness of the cooled grease decreased as its akalinity increased. The thickening effect of the lithium soap increased with both temperature increase of the grease applied to the drum and temperature decrease of the cooling surface; but for high akalinity greases, the effect was weaker. The maximum thickening effect of the soap as dispersed phase was present when the latter consisted of thin elongated particles.
