Zusammenfassung: | In order to specify the role of dicarboxylic acids in lithium lubricants on the base of SZhK, the latter were isolated from the given commercial fraction by an extraction by 50 percent water ethanol. On lithium soaps of purified SZhK and dicarboxylic acids lubricants were prepared. On soaps of dicarboxylic acids isolated from the fraction of SZhK, it was not possible to obtain lubricants. The removal of dicarboxylic acids does not affect the properties of the lubricants. Apparently, this is explained by the insignificant content of dicarboxylic acids in the initial fraction of the SZhK. Also investigated was the lubricants prepared on lithium soaps of SZhK. As a result of the purification of SZhK, an increase in the thickening effect of lithium soap was noted to be similar to that of the purification by the carbamide method.
