Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	The RADC interactive node is a hardware/software switching module that permits a user to flexibly interface various types of data processing equipment, including central processors, visual displays, and data communication systems. The basic hardware component is a 4K Digital Equipment Corporation PDP-8/I computer with special switching logic. The basic software system is the PATCHBOARD operating system that operates conceptually equivalent to that of a standard communications or analog computer patchboard. The user may configure a system containing the following six elements: CDC 1700, PDP-7, BR 90, ASR 33, and two 103A data sets. Only two devices may be interconnected via the software at any one time, but up to three pairs of devices may be communicating simultaneously. (Author)
