The Eddy Transfer of Active and Passive Contaminants in the Atmospheric Boundary Layer

Concluding the first phase of the present research program on atmospheric eddy transport, the following items are delivered: Eddy transport of thoron in open terrain and in a forest; Eddy viscosity and eddy conductivity from wind and temperature profiles, respectively; Comparison of the three different eddy transport parameters; Evaluation calculi and methods (in theory and in practice); Theoretical studies and considerations concerning the effect of additional convective transport; and Theoretical considerations concerning several fundamental points of the description of random and turbulent motion.
