Zusammenfassung:This report summarizes research in the development of mathematical models of information processing systems. Particular attention is given to a new approach to automata theory, the use of multiple index matrices in generalized automata theory, asymptotic decomposition of machines, recognizability of equation sets, algebraic isomorphism invariants for transition graphs, iterative network realization of sequential machines, optimum sequencing of jobs subject to deadlines, and the theory of formal languages and its impact on the design and implementation of programming languages.
