Zusammenfassung:	Laboratory tests were conducted on rock core samples received from the MINE SHAFT test site near Cedar City, Utah, to determine the integrity and mechanical behavior of the material. The results were to be used in formulating a constitutive model for code calculations of earth motions and stresses induced by the blast loadings. The area selected for the tests appeared to consist of a relatively uniform, somewhat weathered rock, identified as tonalite. (Author)
