Zusammenfassung: | As part of the program for seeking new thermoelectric materials certain types of thermocouples were developed and tested. W wire, with a diameter of 0.28 - 0.58 mm and a content of 1 - 20 percent Re was used in the experiments. Data are cited to show the thermoelectromotive forces of thermocouples (E) at temperatures of 0 - 2000 degree C, the sensitivity of thermocouples (dE/dt) in the same temperature range, the value of E in relation to changes in the alloy's resistivity at 4 different temperatures, and the dependence of the resistivity on an alloy's Re content at 4 different temperatures. A special graph, was compiled to facilitate the selection of suitable alloys for the thermocouples.
