Zusammenfassung: | A study was made of the electrical characteristics of an explosion of thin metallic wires. Aluminum and copper wires with diameters ranging from 0.11 to 0.3 mm were used in the experiments. Data regarding the electrical conductivity of metals corresponding to the phases of the metallic wire, i.e., the liquid and gaseous phases, were obtained by analyzing the characteristics of the exploding wires.
