CERTAIN PROBLEMS OF COMBINED COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY

Based on a brief review of analog and digital computer properties, it is concluded that each individual type of computer cannot satisfy the requirements for operating in real time scale over a wide dynamic range of variables with an accuracy of not less than four decimal points. The contradiction between computer accuracy and speed of response which takes place within the framework of one type of image representation leads to the problem of producing calculating systems which would combine devices with a different value representation (analog and digital).
