Zusammenfassung:A prototype ice-crystal hologram camera was fabricated and tested. The instrument will record ice crystals and raindrops in the 0.1 mm to centimeter size range over a sample volume 50 cm deep. An off-axis coherent reference beam is produced in the camera by use of a grating and pinhole spatial filter. Motion of the particles is stopped by a Q-switched ruby laser. This design is adaptable to airborne applications. (Author)
