Zusammenfassung:Consistency in classification and the recording of a surface as sound or unsound on two examinations by a dentist depends on the probability of a sound surface being classified and recorded sound, the probability of an unsound surface being classified and recorded unsound, and the proportion of the surfaces which are sound. Factors are given which should be considered in the design and execution of such studies. Procedures are described which were used to prepare data from a study for analysis. Applicable statistical methods for analysis of such data are discussed. (Author)
