Zusammenfassung: | A number of mixed substituted trimeric and tetrameric (arylamino-polyfluoroalkoxy) phosphonitriles were prepared. A typical representative of this new class of compounds, bis(N-methylanilino)-hexakis(1,1-di H-trifluoroethoxy) phosphonitrile, passed the hydrolytic stability test of specification MIL-H-19457A and gave also excellent results in the Falex wear test. Another representative, bis(N-methylanilino)- tetrakis (1,1-di H-trifluoroethoxy) phosphonitrile, gave viscosities approaching those of the same specification. Catalytic reduction of trimeric bis(p-nitrophenyl) phosphonitrilate afforded bis(p-aminophenyl) phosphonitrilate in excellent yield. Ethoxylation of the latter resulted in the consumption of 10.8 moles of ethylene oxide per amino-group to give a water soluble material having potential for use in water base hydraulic fluids. Representatives of the novel class of arylthio-polyfluoroalkoxy phosphonitriles were synthesized but were found to display slow hydrolytic instability and poor lubricity. (Author) |
