Zusammenfassung:	This report assesses US tactical intelligence systems effectiveness in Southeast Asia during the period of US involvement in combat. Tactical intelligence needs are analyzed in relation to their satisfaction; different collection means are evaluated in terms of their usefulness in different operational situations; and the utilization of intelligence resources is assessed in the context of needs versus means available to meet specific operational requirements. The analysis focuses on tactical echelons responsible for the prosecution of the war on the ground and in the air. Three types of operations are studied in-depth; (1) Main Force operations in War Zone C; (2) Pacification operations in the Upper Delta; and (3) Air interdiction operations in the Loatian panhandle. The principal SENSOR and HUMINT collection systems employed in Southeast Asia are surveyed.
