Zusammenfassung: | Cycle tests of cells using auxiliary hydrogen electrodes show that such cells allow greater overcharge than control cells. Completion of test cells utilizing .15% and .35% BC-610 in the negative material confirm that about .5% BC-610 gives the maximum cycle life at room temperature. The use of PVA only improves cycle life by 100 + cycles over cells containing organic additive. The presence of Emulphogene in any percentage causes promotion of H2 gassing early in cycle life. This tendency is not consistent in all cells and appears to decrease as cycle life continues past 200 cycles. Combinations of FSC and 2.2XH separation do not exhibit improvement in cycle life at 40% depth-of-discharge over regular FSC separation. (Author) |
