Zusammenfassung: | This report is a summary and analysis of the effects of reactor radiation on the engineering properties of certain elastomers and plastics. The radiation experiments were performed at various temperatures in several media. Data listed in the tables are discussed item by item. There is a general overall engineering analysis on each item, followed, where applicable, by a statistical analysis on those areas requiring more exact treatment of data. Original data have been condensed to this form: average values/coefficients of variation/number of samples determining the average. Materials studied include: silicone, nitrile, and polyurethane rubbers; acrylonitrile/butadiene, hypalon 30 and miscellaneous elastomers; and fluorocarbon polymers. (Author, modified-PL). |
