On the fauna of centipedes (Chilopoda, Myriapoda) inhabiting Serbia and Montenegro

This paper presents our recent knowledge concerning the fauna of centipedes (Chilopoda) in Serbia and Montenegro. In this study 5 species are considered as new for the fauna of Serbia, but only one for Montenegro. There exist 42 centipede species and subspecies in Serbia, and 43 species and subspecies in Montenegro; these have been classified into 13 genera and 8 families (Serbia) and into 17 genera and 8 families (Montenegro). U ovoj studiji prikazano je nase sveukupno poznavanje biodiverziteta hilopoda (Chilopoda) iz Srbije i Crne Gore. Tokom visegodisnjih istrazivanja utvrdili smo 5 vrsta, novih za faunu Srbije, kao i jednu vrstu, novu za faunu Crne Gore. Podrucje Srbije, prema sadasnjem saznanju, naseljava 42 vrste i podvrste hilopoda, svrstanih u 13 rodova i 8 porodica, dok u Crnoj Gori zivi 43 vrste i podvrste, klasifikovane u 17 rodova i 8 porodica.
