Régimes démographiques dans les communautés villageoises de la province de Namur au cours de la première moitié du 19ème siècle (1815-1856)

During a long time, rural areas before 1850 have emerged as an unmoved world without diversity. This article aims to review this image in the field of demography with the example of the province of Namur between 1815 and 1856. The method involves two steps. The first uses cluster analysis to identify areas of municipalities with similar demographic levels. The second seeks to determine the demographic system in six municipalities, one for each group of classification. The result of the analysis starting from the macro to the micro level concluded to the existence of different regimes in the Namur countryside during the first half of the 19th century.
