Zusammenfassung:The study analysed capture and culture fishery production in National Institute for Freshwater Fisheries Research (NIFFR) adopted villages in Kainji Lake Basin, Nigeria for year 2020. A total of 170 respondents in NIFFR adopted villages were selected through random sampling technique. Data for the study were collected through structured interview schedule consisting of both open and close ended questions. Data collected were analysed descriptively. Results reveal that 76.5% of fish farmers were male with the mean age of 38.88 ± 9.62 years. Most (91.2%) of the respondents were married with average household size of 9.03±6.80 persons. Respondents had mean fish farming experience of 19.76 ± 13.13 years with (44.1%) catching fish from the wild. Respondents output mean for captured cat fishes were (=1414.36), tilapia (=1000.29) and lates (=600.83), while culture cat fish was (=515). It was also observed that 29.4% of the respondents involve in fish culture practices had high level of fish production, while only 9.4% of those who fish from the wild indicated high production level.
