Zusammenfassung: | In this paper we aim to revise a known event –thus, an already crystallized event- in Argentine and/or Latin American literary historiography and criticism: the recognition of Esteban Echeverría as a romantic poet, and, simultaneously, that of certain part of his poetry (namely “La cautiva”, Rimas, 1837) as a result of a solitary poetical program, that is, a product of an authorial projection. In order to do that, we will undertake the reading of some newspapers of the period (El Amigo del País, La Gaceta Mercantil, Diario de la Tarde, El Recopilador, among others) and especially draw attention to some key texts published in them. These will allow us to examine the ways the construction of authorship adopts in the period of emergence of national literatures. |
