Zusammenfassung:: Differential encoding is a widely used technique in the context of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) as an alternative to coherent channel estimation and equalization. In this paper, the performance of differential encoding using a multilag higher-order instantaneous moment (ml-HIM) in OFDM system is investigated. It is shown that by using proper order and lags, the ml-HIM decoder is capable to make a robust system against the phase distortion and the intercarrier interference (ICI) caused by phase distortion and frequency offset.
