Zusammenfassung: | This work proposes new approach for recycling plastic to form stabilized-hexadecanoic acid (SHA) as material thermal storage technology (TST). Surface profile of SHA shows the plastic is embedded effectively, maintaining the chemical and phase structural of SHA remains identic with HA. The synthesized SHA indicates a lower supercooling (2.2 °C) and high latent heat capacity above 135 J/g. Also, SHA has a higher specific rating charge around 61.35 % than HA. The finding demonstrates a feasible consideration to recycle plastic as energy storage material, which can be used as fundamental basis for designing specialized TST system and production method of SHA. |
