Zusammenfassung:HIV infection increases the risk of type 2 diabetes and may influence its phenotypic profile. In this study, we aimed to compare the anthropometric and metabolic characteristics of HIV-infected and uninfected adult Ugandans with new-onset type 2 diabetes to evaluate the influence of HIV infection on specific surrogate markers of adiposity, insulin resistance, and pancreatic beta-cell function.
