Zusammenfassung:Pereira Neto E., Araújo A.L.A., Cunha L.A., Barcellos M.P., Spadeto Jr O. & Coelho C.S. [Erythrogram in mules after a 100 Km endurance exercise.] E-mail: clarisse.coelho@uvv.br The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of a submaximal intensity on erythrogram in mules during a long endurance exercise (cavalgada) in Espirito Santo, Brazil. Blood samples were obtained from 21 mules in four different moments: at rest (T0); after 54 km (T1); after 80 km (T2); and after 100 km (T3). Samples were analyzed at Centro de Diagnóstico Veterinário (CEMEVES). On the erythrogram evaluation, mean values of red blood cell count recorded on the moments T0, T1, T2 and T3 were, respectively, 8.91±1.93x106 / μL, 8.75±1.56x106 /μL, 8.67±1.29x106 /μL and 8.99±1.96x106 /μL; hemoglobin concentration values recorded were 12.9±1.6g/dL, 13.9±1.3g/dL, 14.2±1.5g/ dL and 13.4±1.0g/dL, respectively, on the moments T0, T1, T2 and T3; and mean values for packed cell volume were 38.5±3.8%, 41.3±3.9%, 41.6±4.7% and 40.5±4.1%, respectively, on the moments T0, T1, T2 and T3. Results showed that the physical exercise imposed leaded only to significantly increase in hemoglobin concentrations.
