The present case-control study included 90 PCOS patients and 90 healthy controls whose age and body mass index were matched. Data collected using a structured questionnaire including sociodemographic variables, medical history, food frequency questionnaire, and physical activity records. Anthropometric measures were taken and fasting blood samples were obtained for subsequent metabolic and hormonal assays.
