Zusammenfassung:The aim was to verify the changes on body composition and aerobic capability of obese women along a program of regular training with aerobic exercise to reduce body weight. Nine voluntaries women, 39.0+ou-17.8 years old and body fat upper 30% were initially evaluated in body weight, height, skin fold, fat percentage, free fat mass and aerobic capability (VO2 max). So, they began a walk program with intensity of 50 to 80% of reserve heart rate, duration of 30 to 60 minutes and repeated 4 times per week. After 12 weeks of training, was take out the final evaluation. The significance of differences was determinate by Student t Test. The body weight decrease from 77.7±10.9 to 75.8 ±10.0 Kg, the fat free mass increase from 48.7±4.5 to 51.0±4.7 Kg and the VO2 max increase from 28.8±5.7 to 33.8±5.4 mL.kg-¹.min-¹, however only the fat decrease significantly from 36.9±4.5 to 32.4±3.9% (p
