Analysing technical efficiency of joint stock commercial banks in Vietnam

Bank efficiency is always the determiants of the competitiveness of any banks in the market. Therefore, this article is to study the effectiveness of Joint Stock Commercial Banks in Vietnam achieved in 2011 -2018. Specially, banking performance is estimated by technical efficiency: Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). Furthermore, the study also uses Pooled OLS method, Fixed Effect model (FEM), Generalized Least Squares method (GLS) to assess the impactof factors to technical efficiency of Joint Stock Commercial Banks. The study results showed that the factors of effective management (ROA, ETA) have significantly positive impact on technical efficiency or performance of Joint Stock Commercial Banks
