Zusammenfassung: | This study critically discusses the role of contract law in improving corporate social responsibility issues in supply chains. It shows that the use of contract law by multinational companies at the top of the supply chain to transfer CSR to their suppliers is widespread and has serious consequences. Moreover, multinational companies are less likely to draft contracts to protect the interests of those at the bottom of the supply chain, making it difficult for contract law to become a more powerful tool for improving CSR in global supply chains. |
