Zusammenfassung:In recent times, a lot has been said about trends and policies which threaten the future of Classics in general and the teaching of Ancient History in particular. This debate has primarily arisen in the United States, as a response to the request of some academics and colleges to "decolonise" a discipline that is deemed to be representative of white supremacism. In Italy, some voices have been raised to remark the alleged uselessness of such a decolonisation in a context, which is thought not to reflect the structural inequalities of the American educational system. However, it is necessary to discuss the problem in further detail. This thematic section of the journal aims to compare different experiences and methodologies of scientific dissemination in the field of Ancient History, which is often perceived as a discipline far from everyday life and from the interest of the general public. On the contrary, it might be a ground of fruitful cooperation between experts and not experts, especially when its fruition is declined according to clear, tangible and compelling dissemination strategies. Our goal is to present a series of activities, which have been carried out during the last years by University and High School teachers, who have dealt with and discussed specific and specialized topics in history, epigraphy, and archaeology, by collaborating with experts in the fields of communication and management of cultural heritage.
