Description of Shibli in Zafar Ali Khan's Zamindar

Maulana Shibli Naumani (1857---1914) was a renowned scholar, critic and poet. He taught at Ali Garh College for a considerable time. During this tenure, Maulana Zafar Ali Khan (1873---1956) studied there. He was a bonafide student of Maulana Shibli Naumani. Shibli trained his students to serve their Nation with zeal and zest. Throughout his life, Zafar Ali Khan admired his teacher's contribution to his ideology and personality. When Maulana Shibli breathed his last in 1914 Zafar Ali Khan's Zamindar, a renowned newspaper of the Sub Continent, payed tributes to the departed soul. This article deals with their relations and discovers unfolded aspects of both great literary figures.
