Protocol for deep mining the correlation between acute pancreatitis and ferroptosis using the MIMIC-III database and STATA software

Zusammenfassung:The limitations associated with distinguishing serum Fe2+ and Fe3+ hinder the widespread application of ferroptosis, beyond laboratory settings. Here, we present a protocol for deep mining the correlation between acute pancreatitis and ferroptosis using the MIMIC-III database and STATA software. We describe steps for using Cox regression, decision curve analysis (DCA), and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) approaches to establish the relationship between them and determine the relevant factors. This protocol has potential application in establishing novel research models that integrate both fundamental and clinical methodologies. For complete details on the use and execution of this protocol, please refer to Yueling Deng et al.1 [Display omitted] •Steps to deeply explore ferroptosis and determine organelle-related factors•Steps for how to register and download MIMIC-III database•Steps for comparison and analysis of data using STATA software Publisher’s note: Undertaking any experimental protocol requires adherence to local institutional guidelines for laboratory safety and ethics.
