Zusammenfassung:Today, the role and importance of the first contact medical specialist (physician or general practitioner) is increasing in the diagnosis and management of patients with obesity and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease today. The article discusses the diagnostic algorithm for obesity based on the AACE/ACE-2014 classification, and the potential of essential phospholipids in the therapeutic and prophylactic recommendations for patients with NAFLD associated with obesity.
