Cultural Enlightenment Activities of Russian Orthodox Church in Bessarabia (at the End of the XIX-th and the Beginning of the XX-th Century)

The paper studies the issues of Russian Orthodox Church to establish and improve the system of primary education in the region, the establishment and development of women's education in the province, in the context of cultural and educational processes in Bessarabia in the late XIX - early XX centuries.
